Hi! This sounds very similar to a YA novel called Happy Endings Are All Alike by Sandra Scoppettone that was published in 1978 about two girls who are in love with other, but whose relationship is rocked when one of them is assaulted by a male stalker. The two girls's names are Jaret and Peggy though, not Finn.
