I am about a quarter done with this. I had no idea what to expect going in, and it’s written in an interesting way, with footnotes and all kinds of seemingly extraneous details. But so far, I’m enjoying its meandering story.

Anthony (albinokid) | 56 comments I read this a few years ago and was very impressed by it.

Forrest (fmmcgraw) | 75 comments I read this for the first time in March of this year when I impulsively bought the 20th Anniversary hardcover.

I'm tempted to get this on both Kindle and Audible to enjoy their Whispersync for Voice for a fully immersive experience!

There is a TV adaptation (2015 mini series) on Amazon Prime Video, which I also enjoyed.

I read this one years ago when it came out and loved it. I own a copy and am hoping to fit in a reread this month, but I’ve got a stack of library books that all came in at the same time that I have to get through first!

I’ve added this to my “watch” list but not till I finish the book!

Random (rand0m1s) | 1284 comments I would swear I had read this book with this group years ago. But apparently I didn't and read it later in 2014.

I don't plan on rereading, but I do remember enjoying it.

Dawn (caveatlector) | 339 comments I read this in 2016. Rated it 3 stars but didn't write a review. And I remember almost nothing. Actually, I don't think I remember anything. Trying to read reviews to twig my memory and it is not working.

Kateblue | 117 comments I read this a few years back and really liked it except I was tired of it by the end. I just looked at my exceeding short 4* review where I stated that it took me over a year to finish it. That's how good it was . . . I kept plugging away, apparently. Usually when a read is taking too long, I just quit, but I sure didn't here. I don't remember all the plot details, exactly, but I remember the feeling of it, which was excellent.

One of my favorite new books a couple of years ago was Piranesi, which was basically her next effort. She wrote a few stories that were connected to Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell, but then nothing for years and years. I always wondered what happened to her. I finished this book up and wanted more, but there really wasn't anything. So glad Piranesi showed up. Now I am hoping her next book won't take her 15 years.

Highly recommend Piranesi

I believe she was dealing with some health issues and thus the gap between books.

I liked Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell but found Piranesi to be exceptional. :)
