Hello Bookaholics!!! I just wanted to get the discussion up for those who plan on joining the thread for Listen for the Lie. We will also be giving everyone a 2 day head start on this one since life gets busy and with the major holiday in November that will take time away from reading....

Grab your copies and feel free to join us as we will start reading this on October 30th, 2025 and will read this throughout the whole month of November! We will allow you to read at your own pace, but please refrain from spoiling the book for others!

Please comment when you have your copies so we can see who all is ready to go!

Joel Duncan (jbwrites) | 3 comments I've just started this book today, really enjoying it. It's a lot funnier than I expected, it's a nice change than a straight up thriller.

Shaelynn Rimmer | 15 comments I don’t usually read murder mystery books but this one is pretty good. I started this last night and finished just now (almost finished last night but had to get to bed)

Joel Duncan (jbwrites) | 3 comments finished it, this is my no spoiler review:

This was definitely the funniest thriller I've read to date. It managed to fit in a lot: crime, drama, romance, humour. I did route for Ben and I was very invested trying to catch the lies as they were said but only managed to make a couple of big things click. Solid thriller, would love to see a pure comedy from this author. I actually didn't realise but I had tried to read reboot around 7 years ago but couldn't get into it, but this was written for adults where most of her other books are YA.

This book was very entertaining and I was leaning towards 5 stars but the reveal is a little underwhelming, I think the twist half way through is better than the end reveal. I guessed who did it pretty early on, but I was kind of hoping it wouldn't turn out to be them. I think it lined up the shock factor really well, to then not zap us with it. But overall I'll be keeping an eye out for other adult books by her. I'm glad this group chose this book.
