I could join you in this entire list. What a wonderful list for young and old, from across many centuries!

My two cents would be no. “British Literature” is considered books by British authors, just as “Latin American Literature” would be by authors from that region. Again, this is my opinion, based on academic standards, and others might disagree.

All Aboard!! Hop on this train bound across the ages. Shakespeare to Follett. Tea and Crumpets in the reading carriage!

I have finished James and the Giant Peach and am now reading The Wind in the Willows. Once I finish Dragonfly in Amber (last months book I didn't get to finish) I'm not sure if I will read Middlemarch or Follett.

Algernon (Darth Anyan) | 639 comments I am considering writers from Ireland. This is not technically part of the British Isles, so I'm thinking of saving them for a 'shamrock' monthly tag next year. It's not like I don't have enough options with the list from the rest of the British authors

KateNZ | 4186 comments Northern Ireland would be fine, Algernon - they are both part of the British Isles and part of the United Kingdom (so it works both geographically and geopolitically).
