I have finished James and the Giant Peach and am now reading The Wind in the Willows. Once I finish Dragonfly in Amber (last months book I didn't get to finish) I'm not sure if I will read Middlemarch or Follett.
I am considering writers from Ireland. This is not technically part of the British Isles, so I'm thinking of saving them for a 'shamrock' monthly tag next year. It's not like I don't have enough options with the list from the rest of the British authors
