Walson Lee | 1 comments Quick question for fellow SF readers:
I'm finishing up a near-future AI novel and keep noticing how real-world headlines (50% catastrophe probability from AI researchers, 300M jobs facing automation, etc.) are making "speculative" fiction feel less speculative by the day.
What AI-related SF have you loved recently, and what themes do you want to see more of?
I'm particularly interested in:
• Human-AI consciousness/partnership stories
• Near-future scenarios about purpose and identity
• Ethical frameworks for superintelligence
Working on Echo of the Singularity: Awakening (launches soon) and always looking for comp reads and inspiration from this community.
(Happy to share a blog post I wrote on this topic if anyone wants to dive deeper into the real-world data)
