The House of Eve - Sadeqa Johnson - 4 stars

This was a buddy read in the Retro Chapter Chicks group, since it is set around 1948-50. I took it out from the library but didn't get to it in Sept when the group read was happening. I was going to return it unread, but thought I'd just look at the first couple chapters to see if I was interested. I ended up reading straight through for maybe 4 hours! The characters were compelling and the writing was very good. There are 2 stories that converge toward the end.
