Hi — I’m trying to find a novel I read in translation around 2010–2015. Plot I remember: a work-obsessed man is driving home on a winding road, has a car accident and dies. An angel/guide appears and lets him relive his last week; the book follows those days and ends with him sleeping with his wife, who wants to have a child. I vaguely remember a line like: “When he woke he knew he was gone forever and that his gift had been those last days.” No names or cover details. Any idea what this is? Thanks!

Do you remember if the man his daughter with him? Or if he had his own dentist office, but had some money troubles? I read something similar and those were other details in the book. But unfortunately I can’t remember the name of the one either.
