I read this book in highschool circa 2010-2011.
It was about how these male aliens were coming to earth to find romantic partners to help repopulate their planet because a virus killed all the females.
This girl meets a male alien at the mall and is immediately in love with him.
He tells her the crisis on his planet and she agrees to leave earth to go be with him on his planet and legit packs up her things and is ready to leave her family, but when she goes to meet him he leaves and left her a note saying he was sorry and couldn't make her be a baby machine because of how much he cares for her.
