Winterwood by Shea Ernshaw. I didn’t buy it (thank god), but I saw the cover at the store and thought it was so pretty, so I got it from the library, and the book sucked. I’d had high hopes about it too because I liked another book by that same author. Horrible book. The only good thing was the cover 💀

The Marriage Portrait by Maggie O'Farrell - the cover is so gorgeous and I loved Hamnet. I didn't buy it but put it on my birthday present list. I hate that I didn't like it, the book was so turgid and slow, dragging out over far too many pages.

Still a beautiful book.
