I just released my second book, The Devil & The Details, and as a brand-new indie author doing this all on my own, I made a huge mistake that cost me my release-day sales. When updating my book info on Amazon, I accidentally marked that my book contained “explicit images.” I don’t have any images in my book at all, but that error caused it to become non-searchable for two long days. After a lot of stress, I finally figured it out and fixed the problem — but unfortunately, those early momentum sales slipped away.
