Hello and welcome!
I think this is long overdue. I'm writing this in hopes that new members (and maybe even old members) can know what to expect from this group.

☆☆

1. Introduce Yourself
https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
This is not required but you can share a bit about yourself in our Introductions discussion thread.

2. General Chatting
https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
In our Ramble Thread you can share your book thoughts, talk or vent about a book you've read or are currently reading. You can talk about any and everything regarding books here.

3. Weekly Discussion Prompts
I try to post a new prompt every week to promote group discussions. Sometimes I might skip a week but I generally try to post every week. A new prompt will be added on either Sundays or Mondays. Participation isn't required in every discussion posted, however, sharing your thoughts on whatever is being discussed helps me to not feel like I'm talking to myself every week 🥲 Even if you have only 1-3 sentences, please share.

Discussions will never close so even though new prompts are posted every week there is no deadline for participation. You can choose to participate in whichever discussion you want whenever you're feeling up to it. Even if the prompt was posted months before.

4. Group Reads
I don't have a set schedule for group reads. At the end of the day I created this group to have fun with others who also enjoy reading. Having strict structures or schedules stresses me out when I'm trying to have fun so these happen randomly. However, if you want more/less time during/between group reads that's totally fine by me. Just let me know. I'm entirely open to whatever you guys want to do.

Participation in group reads are not mandatory. Like I said, the purpose of this group is to have fun. If you don't want to read a book due to whatever reason then that's completely fine. You can participate in the next one.

I normally have multiple discussions for each book we read. I split the number of chapters to create the discussions. For example, one discussion we had previously was named "Water Moon P1 (Ch 1 - 15)". When discussions are created like this it helps to prevent spoilers while you share your thoughts on the book during reading.

There are also no deadlines for participation in group reads. The group may have finished with that particular book, but if you want to you can share your thoughts on previous books we've read using the appropriate discussions.

I create a poll for every group read. The book with the most votes will be the book we read.

5. Suggestions for Group Reads
https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
Books for our group reads can be suggested by all members of the group at any time. If you have a book you'd like the group to consider reading you can share it in the discussion thread I linked above (Suggestions For Group Reads). Suggestions are always welcome.

The group's bookshelf can be viewed on the goodreads website. Not the app (if anyone uses that). You can see which books we've read and what books are on our TBR for future group reads.

7. Feedback
This is the first and only book group I've ever been a part of. So, I'm still learning. If you have any suggestions or feedback so I can make the group better for everyone please let me know.

8. If my responses are late during discussions I'm either really busy or just taking a while to decide how I want to respond. I'm not great at social interactions so forgive me lol

I hope this helps. If you have any questions please let me know. Thanks for reading!
