In den Jahren des 2. Weltkrieges wurde im Rheinwald ein besonderer Kampf ausgefochten: gegen die Flutung des Tals.

Ein Kraftwerkkonsortium wollte hier in der Nähe von Sufers eine Staumauer hochziehen um Elektrizität zu erzeugen, für den Fortschritt – wie in Marmorera das Dorf wäre hier ein ganzes Tal geopfert worden. Am 11. März 1944 lehnte die Bündner Regierung auch noch den letzten Rekurs der Kraftwerkkonsortien ab.

In Erinnerung daran, gegen die Angst und für die Zukunft, entstand diese Theaterprojekt mit den Talbewohnern.
