We have A book from the NPR “Books We Love” lists for 2025, too.
But neither of them is in the 2026 list, yet, that I can see, so they can be proposed/seconded. It'll be up to the votes whether they get repeated!

This could be physically like a supernatural human or a butterfly. It could also be through emotional growth like Ebenezer Scrooge.

We had "A mystery or true crime book" this year, too, and one very similar to "history/historical fiction". Prompts can be suggested in successive years.

I’m still happy to see it suggested this year. I’d second the NPR if I could!

My pleasure! I'm so pleased it got through.

Agreed! I can never look through the NPR list without adding something to my TBR list.

Fiction/nonfiction
The science topic does not need to be a huge part of the plot.
Any field of science, including nature, biology, psychology, environmental, archeology, physics, oceanography, genetics, medical science, neuroscience, space, etc. etc.
Here is a sampling of lists I found. There are likely similar lists for any
Field.

I was thinking of you. That is an audible.com link because there wasn't a link in GR, at least not in English. If you find a link that is in Swedish, I am happy to add it to the list.

Yes, I'm also on the Path of Totality train!
I wish I was physically - the UK's next one is Cornwall in 2090 and London doesn't get another one until 2151!
May need to go visit Iceland again, although apparently we get about 90% for the 2026 one as we're not that far off the track.
Definitely in for it as a prompt.

It's magical, I highly recommend it ... even though I only got to stay for the first of my two weeks, since I came down with a mystery illness that ended up putting me out of commission for a couple of years -- and was totally unrelated to being in Iceland! As a science geek, walking between two geologic plates at Thingvellir, the only place on earth you can do that, was the thrill of a lifetime.

I just looked through the list carefully and I don't see anything like it. I don't think we've ever had this prompt.
