I think diversity hires are a stupid thing and whereas we shouldn’t be AGAINST hiring women/men for jobs, we shouldn’t TRY to just for diversity!

@syd YES. don’t hire a women just because of diversity. hire a women who’s capable, and hire men who are also capable. hiring a women just because she’s a women doesn’t feel too feminist imo. you’re still not acknowledging that women are equal to men. you’re not getting the point if you’re hiring a women for diversity purposes.

i actually 100% agree with this!! it is definitely true, for some jobs men are better suited (and actually vice versa too), but again, as you said, if a woman qualifies and consents, she shouldn't be excluded.
