my bestie is breaking up with me??

ok i have bestie named sayuri [ ik so funny but this has no relation to the actual sayurii on goodreads ] . get cozy cause this is a long story. rate my book 5☆

i'm in a friend group with her and we're besties. at least i thought so. i've known her for a bit less than a year and i've been in her friend group for 8 months or so. we were always close besties. the thing is, we started school, like, two weeks ago. the first week, we were super close. she's in a different class to me though, and this week, she's acted super distant. she's picked up a new friend [ i don't care about my friends have more friends i get it guys ! ] and this friend has a very... bold and fake personality. i get it, but the whole point of this group is to leave your 'false' at the door to bring in the wholesome genuine friends. but whatever.


the problem is- she always does this. she skips around friends ALL the time. she's popular and it's getting to her head. she has so many people, lined up, who want to be besties, that she just thinks she can ditch the minute they get boring. i just feel very hurt by this.

i confronted her about this and she just yelled that tracy [her new friend] was hurting, that she had no friends, that i was being too sensitive, that tracy was self hating. she thinks i should apologise, but she's not even accepting an apology. i sent her an email trying to sort things out but i just wanted to ask you guys, as an outside opinion- am i wrong?

update: i basically apologised to her to be the bigger person, even though she lowkey is a bit in the wrong.
