Hi everyone! My name is Christine, I'm one of Olivia's cousins. Her mom and I started this group as a way to honor her and carry forward her love for reading, connection, and community.

I’ve read on and off throughout my life, but Olivia truly inspired me to dive fully into reading. Her passion for books and stories reminded me how much joy they can bring, — and how they can connect us in such meaningful ways. 💛

I currently live in Wyoming, love the outdoors, a good coffee, and a good book. I run an in person book club as part of a community I co-lead - Girl Get After It!

My hope is that this group feels like a cozy corner where we can share what we’re reading, discover new favorites, and also stay connected to not only each other but the incredible work the Live Like Livy Foundation is doing.

I can’t wait to get to know each of you — please pop into the Welcome thread and introduce yourself. I’d love to hear what you’re reading right now!

I'm currently reading All The Colors of The Dark! All the Colors of the Dark by Chris Whitaker

Hi - I am Olivia’s mom and best friend. I am so excited to start this group with Olivia’s cousin, Christine, who has the same love of reading as Olivia. I can wait to exchange book recommendations, start great conversations on all different genres and keep a community that just loves to read because that is how we keep Olivia’s spirit alive with all of us. During Covid Olivia started a book club in our neighborhood with women my age who loved to pick a great book and have fun, interesting conversations together! Reading was always so important to Olivia and if she could just get one person to read one book that was her biggest success of the day!!! Thanks for joining!!

I am currently reading Broken Country which I am really enjoying.

I love to read everyday and first thing in the morning with a cup of coffee ☕️ and in the quiet on my back porch or favorite spot in my family room usually with a blanket.

🐝💜📚

Kenzie Mader | 1 comments Hi everyone! I’m Kenzie, one of Olivia’s best friends/roommates from Clemson. I’m so excited that a book club has been started in honor of Olivia— as we all know reading was her favorite! She inspired me (okay maybe STRONGLY encouraged me haha) to get back into reading while we were living together in college, and I’ve been hooked back into it ever since! I’m currently living in Atlanta, GA with my boyfriend Kevin who was also one of Olivia’s close friends. I can’t wait to get to know more people who were close to our girl, and share some book recs along the way! I’m about to start reading The Extraordinary Life of Sam Hell per my mom’s recommendation!❤️📚

Jenna Madsen | 1 comments Hi everyone!! My name is Jenna– also one of Olivia’s best friends/roommates from Clemson. I’ve always been a reader and it’s something Olivia and I truly connected on while living together. She introduced me to her love of historical fiction (a genre I would typically always avoid) and now it’s one of my favorite genres! (However I do love a good thriller/mystery) Reading with Olivia and my other two roommates, Kenzie and Katie, during our spring break trips together is one of my fondest memories.

I’m currently living in Greenville, SC and working as a cardiac nurse! I love to read on my days off! Currently reading The Zodiac Academy Series. I’m only on the 2nd book, but am liking it so far!

It brings me so much joy to see our girl’s impact she continues to make on the world every day. I look forward to seeing everyone’s book recommendations and sharing stories about our Olivia! 🐝📚

Hi Everyone - proud and blessed to say I'm Olivia's Dad. We shared so many interests together, including reading. However, I'm nowhere near her level in volume or speed! So glad to see this group formed on behalf of Olivia - she would love nothing more! Excited to watch this grow and see where it goes. I have no doubt wonderful things will come of it. I just finished James, and will be picking my next book this weekend. Love and miss Olivia every day...best girl in the whole wide world!! Thank you all and lets make her proud.

message 8: by Sue (new)

Sue | 1 comments Hi everyone, I’m Olivia’s Aunt Sue, married to Pats brother Chris and mother to Jackie, Christine and Tom Sherry. I inherited my love of reading from my Dad, Tom O’Reilly, he reads about a book a day and anything else he can get his hands on. I read at least a book a week, if not more. Some days I’ll finish one in an afternoon. I love historical fiction and nonsense novels.

I have spent the last 20+ years in a classroom. Sharing my love of reading has been one of my favorite parts of my elementary school teaching days. Our monthly novel studies and daily read alouds are what we all looked forward to each day.

A favorite novel I’ve shared over and over again with my students is A Land Remembered, Vol 1&2 by Patrick Smith (student version). A great story about Florida history.

A day doesn’t go by that I don’t think of our Olivia and her passion for reading. I’m always looking for recommendations, can’t wait to hear what everyone’s been reading. 🐝

message 9: by Julia (new)

Julia Hanrahan | 1 comments Hi everyone!! My name is Julia - I am one of Olivia’s best friends from Kennedy (high school) and always did the plays with her and football managed together for 3 years. I have not always been the biggest reader, but Olivia always tried to find a book that I would love to read! By either sending me multiple recommendations or giving me her own books from her bookshelf, she did her best to help get me to have the same love for reading that she did! ☺️

I love a good mystery or thriller book, and have even found myself getting into some historical fiction books through the years. I am not currently reading a book, and am excited to start All the Broken Places! I am so excited for this book club, and know Olivia would be so proud! I am so happy to see the amazing impact that Olivia continues to have on the world! I look forward to hearing about everyone who knew Olivia, and am excited to hear about everyone’s book recommendations!!

This is truly the start of something amazing! 💜🐝

Erin Wolter | 2 comments Hi! My name is Erin and I went to high school with Olivia! I have been a big reader since a young age so she and I would always discuss books and recommendations together (and sometimes get yelled at for talking during class). I know high school was when her passion for reading started and I loved that I was able to share with her in that.
Since shes passed I have consistently used her bookmark so she could be with me as I have continued to read. So I am very happy that there is a bookclub that we can all be apart of to share in her love of reading.
I'm currently reading The Crowns of Nyaxia series by Carissa Broadbent and audiobooking Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir!
And if anyone in Westchester ever wants to get together to read or discuss, I would love to do so!
