I’ve just completed the second draft of my novel Something Between Us (Book 1 of my Between Us series), and I’m looking for a few thoughtful beta readers for the second round of feedback.

Something Between Us is a contemporary romance with suspenseful elements. It follows Ashley Summers, a Manhattan marketing executive haunted by her abusive past, who finds herself drawn to Landon Denver, a guarded British billionaire. As their relationship deepens, Ashley’s violent ex resurfaces—only to reveal he’s just a pawn in a much darker game. Alongside her protective sister Suzanne and Landon’s rebellious younger brother Jayden, Ashley must confront both danger and desire, discovering that love can be both terrifying and transformative.

• Word Count: ~261,355 (current length)
• Status: Fully completed and available in Google Docs

This is my 2nd round of beta reading, so I’m especially interested in feedback on:
• Pacing (does it drag or move too quickly?)
• Character development (are they compelling, consistent, and believable?)
• Emotional impact (do the relationships and conflicts resonate?)
• Any sections that feel unclear or unnecessary
