Ashley Sheesley | 15 comments Does this work? https://www.instagram.com/p/DOgu_OxEgd3/

Here's a link to the official file: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1SPIg...

It's still being updated on my publisher's website, so hopefully the official reveal post and the file work!

Martin | 36044 comments We cannot use social media.
Let us know when the image is available from publisher website.

Ashley Sheesley | 15 comments https://www.wordsmakeart.com/collecti... okay, it's up on the preorder page!

(and here's that file again of the flat image if that helps!)

Martin | 36044 comments I can find no confirmation of ISBN at that source? We need to confirm it is the correct edition.

Ashley Sheesley | 15 comments That's odd, try this one?

message 8: by Martin (new)

Martin | 36044 comments That shows a different ISBN?
Strangely it is associated with a different book on Goodreads https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...

message 9: by Ashley (new)

Ashley Sheesley | 15 comments Oh shoot, that's another author at my press, must have gotten pages crossed. I'll bring this to their attention

message 10: by Ashley (new)

Ashley Sheesley | 15 comments Okay, let's try this one more (please??) time!

Martin | 36044 comments Thanks, now done

message 12: by Ashley (new)

Ashley Sheesley | 15 comments Thank you. Do you want just the flat file so it looks the same as most of the other books on here? https://drive.google.com/file/d/1SPIg...

message 13: by Ashley (new)

Ashley Sheesley | 15 comments Please use the attached file so we can have a high quality flat-lay: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1SPIg...

message 14: by Ashley (new)

Ashley Sheesley | 15 comments If you need another website source, this page has a flat image and a link back to the publisher's product page with the ISBN https://indiestorygeek.com/story/9785

but again, the high quality image of the cover is here https://drive.google.com/file/d/1SPIg...

message 15: by Martin (new)

Martin | 36044 comments We can only use images from acceptable sources as detailed at https://help.goodreads.com/s/article/...

Ashley Sheesley | 15 comments This would have saved us both a lot of time if you had shared this with me from the start. I'm not sure why you've been so rude to me. I'm a debut author literally just trying to get my cover updated.

Does this work? it is my, the author's official website: https://ashleysheesley.wordpress.com/...

message 17: by Ashley (new)

Ashley Sheesley | 15 comments sorry, that might be the admin link as, again, it is my official website. This one shouldn't ask you to log in https://ashleysheesley.wordpress.com/...

message 18: by Ashley (new)

Ashley Sheesley | 15 comments Additionally, as per the link you sent, "other valid cover sources
An individual user's scans or photos, taken of books they own or have in their possession
A screen capture of an ebook cover for that specific edition"

Please use my photo taken of book I have in my possession as I am the owner of said book. Thank you! https://drive.google.com/file/d/1SPIg...

I don't think I have been rude to you. I have spent a lot of time looking at your submissions and trying to help.

All the information for how to submit images is linked from the pinned posts at top of the thread.

That is not a photo taken by you, it is the same image you linked in message 3 and described as 'the official file'.

Ashley Sheesley | 15 comments I don't have a pinned post at the top of the thread. I am brand new at this and do not know where to find that information. Is there another thread that our thread is inside? I don't know if you're familiar with how it looks on my end. But I went to my author page, opened the book, clicked the edit book details, and then there's an additional link to ask for help with the cover and it told me to provide the link to the goodreads page, my title, name, ISBN, publisher, and release date, which I included with my initial request. But I don't see another pin anywhere.

Okay, that's fine that my photo doesn't "count." But does my official author website count? (again, that link is: https://ashleysheesley.wordpress.com/... again, it is my official website as the author). Please, the grainy screenshot that's currently up with the black background is embarrassing to me and my publisher. I don't know how else to prove that I am me, my book is mine, the ISBN is mine, the cover is mine, and a nice file of the cover exists for use. If I need to loop my publisher in I can.

I do appreciate the amount of time you have spent. Thank you.

Martin | 36044 comments Librarians are volunteers and are heavily restricted in what they are allowed to do. If we stray from the rules we can lose editing privileges.
If you are unable to meet the sourcing requirements it might be better to contact staff as they have more freedom to do the sensible thing https://www.goodreads.com/about/conta...

Ashley Sheesley | 15 comments I'm sorry for taking my frustration out on you earlier; the image you chose is not an acceptable quality and I've been trying to provide alternative options and I don't understand why they don't work. I've finally found the pinned post, and my author website should work, and imagr, dropbox, and google drive files are stated as acceptable options. I did fail to provide the source for that file, which I apologize for. The google drive folder is the photo from the cover artist that we used for the publisher's website, my website, other review sites, and all other social media cover announcements (which links I have already shared). I'm sorry for making this so difficult. If I need to move this to someone else, I will, but I'm struggling to understand why my author website isn't acceptable when the link and pinned post both say it's allowed. I even have the ISBN on that page.

message 24: by Martin (new)

Martin | 36044 comments Yes, your author website is an acceptable source and ISBN is there to confirm correct edition.
Thanks for this, I have now replaced the image.
