Savera, I would start with the most classic of classics, such as Pride snd Prejudice, Great Expectations, David Copperfield, Jane Eyre, Wuthering Heights, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, The Grapes of Wrath, Sister Carrie, Rebecca, etc., filling in missing ones. For more ideas, you can look through this Group’s list of books read as well as our current reads, concentrating on the highly rated ones.
I saw that you read Breakfast at Tiffany’s. If you liked Truman Capote, his crime novel In Cold Blood is really good, but a bit gruesome. One way to find novels that are somewhat like what your favorite authors write, google “literature map” and type in a classic author whose work you have enjoyed.
I love anything by the Bronte’s and Dickens so I would definitely recommend their books. I’ve also got into Virginia Woolf too who is quite good
