Hello Angelita,
I placed your post in the “books by group members” section. Congrats on your book!
I placed your post in the “books by group members” section. Congrats on your book!
I wrote this book as both a memoir and a movement—for every woman who has ever stayed too long, loved too deeply, or lost herself while trying to hold it all together.
My mission is to help heal 100,000 women by 2026 through the power of storytelling, reflection, and radical self-love.
Black love is powerful, layered, and sacred. It carries history, resilience, joy, and sometimes heartbreak. It’s not always easy, but it always teaches us something.
In my book, I share my own journey of loving deeply, letting go, and remembering that choosing myself didn’t diminish Black love—it expanded it, beginning with self-love first.
I’d love to open this conversation with you all:
What does Black love mean to you?
Have you ever had to let go of a love that no longer aligned with your peace?
In your favorite books by Black authors, how do characters navigate the balance between love, loss, and self-worth?
Your reflections may be the very words another reader here needs today. With Love I Let Go: A Journey Back To Self
With gratitude,
Angelita Byrd
