When Blackfeet Nation members Ricky, Lewis, Gabe, and Cass are younger, they go on a hunting trip and end up killing a bunch of elk illegally. Not only that, Cass killed a pregnant mother elk. Years later, as adults, it seems they (and their families) are being stalked (and killed)… by elk? Or by what they start calling Elk Head Woman.

It was pretty slow for me, so (despite this being an ebook, not audio), I did lose focus and ended up skimming parts. I think it wasn’t just the slowness, but I found parts of it a bit confusing, but maybe that was a result of the skimming? It really picked up at the end with the focus on Denorah – that had me interested and (view spoiler)[I didn’t think she was going to get away! (hide spoiler)]
