If you change your author profile name, even if it was wrong before, it will assign you many books that do not belong to you. It changes those book records to your name instead of the author name they used to be under. You should probably reach out to Support to sort the books.

When I check Goodreads, I discover my recently published books, "Unconquered" and "Bellatrix," from the trilogy "Planet of Perpetual Peace," showing up automatically. However, when I click the author name "Peter Man," which is me, the link leads to a page (https://www.goodreads.com/author/show...) that is not my regular author page (https://www.goodreads.com/author/show...). Furthermore, the page shows some of my old non-circulating books, "The Unconquered," "Guardian of the Oracle (Saga of the Flower Kingdom)," and "Heart of the Dragon." These should be removed. Furthermore, three books have been attributed to me, but I did not author these books. They are "Capture Eichmann," "Get the Love You Deserve," and "How to Make Money From Home." I don't want to be associated with these books. Please ensure such an author exists to avoid confusion.
While I'm trying to add my new books to my Author Dashboard (https://www.goodreads.com/author/show...), I'm prevented because they have been somehow added to Goodreads, listed as public, and attributed to another mysterious author with the same name. Please remove them and let me add them properly, merging with the older versions. Thank you.
