Confused about adding new book covers

I am rebranding all my previously published books by creating new covers and adding some new material to some of the manuscripts. ALSO, i will be linking them together as a Series. I will be updating their listings in amazon. I've read through all the material in the threads and FAQ's I could find...but my old Grandma brain finds this type of stuff confusing. In the simplest way possible (i.e. as in "Goodreads for Dummies"), could you give me a step-by step process that I can follow to do this when the time comes. It will likely be a few more weeks before I do this. Just trying to be prepared with info when that day comes. Thank you so much.

Kindle and Audible covers are supposed to update automatically, but if you cannot wait you can ask librarians to do it for you.

For all other formats, if you are reusing the ISBN, an alternate cover edition should be created. You can access this with the small "..." button at the top of the book page.
