Hi Pam!! You have been so very patient! I think the last person might have an edge in this game, so I hope you find it was worth the wait.
Lyn wrote: "Good morning everyone! This was fun to wake up to :)I will steal from Amy!!!
Read a book with a title where all the words begin with the same letter (3 word minimum)"
This is a lot more fun than last time, when everyone just kept the tags they pulled!
Amy wrote: "Nancy, I already moved to steal #8."Oh, sorry, I was making chocolate zucchini bread. I knew somebody would steal that.
I am taking #9(I think that is the social... one) from Nancy
Nancy, you are up!You can steal:
1. Read a fiction bestseller from the year you were born. If already read it, read the fiction bestseller from the year and immediate family member was born. (Robin)
2. Read a collection of any year's best short fiction or stories edited by a favorite author (Theresa)
3. Read a book by Stephen King (Rachel N)
4. Read a book with a title where all the words begin with the same letter (3 word minimum) (Lynn)
7. Read a book about the closest sports franchise to where you live. Sport of your choice. (Joy)
8. A book whose title is a pun, i.e. Assault and Pepper. (Amy)
9. Read a book with a tag that starts with "social" (Sociology, society, social psychology, social sciences, social, social- justice, sociable, sociopath, social engineering, social commentary, etc.) (Lyn)
10. Read a book where one of the main characters is in the military (Joanne)
Or you may open 5 or 6.
p.s. Please alert me if I don't anyone matched up with the right prompt. I think I've got it!
Oh, Nancy pm'ed me and gave me the go ahead that if her prompt was stolen to open #5. Nancy, you have:5. Read a book whose title includes a cardinal number (must be expressed in digital format, i.e. 2 not two).
Booknblues wrote: "Amy wrote: "Nancy, I already moved to steal #8."Oh, sorry, I was making chocolate zucchini bread. I knew somebody would steal that.

I absolutely would steal chocolate zucchini bread! Just saying -- though no one is giving me the chance to steal again.
I'm now free of meetings for rest of day. Will be keeping an eye on this. Love the movement!
Patient Pam! It's your turn. You can steal:
5. Read a book whose title includes a cardinal number (must be expressed in digital format, i.e. 2 not two). (Nancy)
7. Read a book about the closest sports franchise to where you live. Sport of your choice. (Joy)

9. Read a book with a tag that starts with "social" (Sociology, society, social psychology, social sciences, social, social- justice, sociable, sociopath, social engineering, social commentary, etc.) (BooknBlues)
10. Read a book where one of the main characters is in the military (Joanne)
Or you may open 6 which will end the swap.
Anita wrote: "Patient Pam!"I can hear my husband cackling somewhere without knowing why :) But it is absolutely worth it for the swap! I don't think I could ever be brave enough to blindly open a new prompt.
I am stealing (possibly the most stolen prompt this round??):
10. Read a book where one of the main characters is in the military (Joanne)
I believe that makes it Joanne's turn...
Booknblues wrote: "Somebody knows what number 6 is. It is the one I put in, I know that."My submission hasn't been opened yet...
Lyn wrote: "Booknblues wrote: "Somebody knows what number 6 is. It is the one I put in, I know that."My submission hasn't been opened yet..."
Ah, that happened to me in the first swap.
Also, I only have the alliteration prompt (#4). I am not sure who has the social prompt (#9)...I have lost track of that one.
Lyn wrote: "Also, I only have the alliteration prompt (#4). I am not sure who has the social prompt (#9)...I have lost track of that one."I have the social prompt.
Anita, if you get a chance, can you correct?
Amy wrote: "How can that be - if there are two people with unopened prompts, but only one prompt left to open?"It looks like responses to some comments are delayed or coming in just after action taken.
Anita - can you do an update - JoAnne is up again to steal or open and will no doubt need some guidance.
I just checked Lyn and BnB's current lists:BnB put up the much swapped Military
Lyn's swapped prompt is the one not opened yet.
I think JoAnne has now outpaced Robin as person from whom most stolen...
I'm very amused by the most heavily swapped - being Military one and the one I put in - 'social' tag. I think the other ones that were initially 'hot' swaps, have been left in the shade.

I put in the military, even though I have a book for it, but don't plan to read until November. I actually wish I had used another, but thought I had a book for it to read right away, but I'm just not loving it. My idea was to have something that others might like.

Maybe you should go to the Discussion thread and ask for suggestions?

I had it right in the spreadsheet. Thanks for the alert! It's the copying and pasting and editing that's getting me.

Does anyone know if ‘69 would count as a cardinal number? It’s not ordinal and it’s not a word. It doesn’t add ‘nth, just punctuation.
Okay, BnB, you are up!You can steal:

Joanne (9, 10)
NancyJ wrote: "Does anyone know if ‘69 would count as a cardinal number? It’s not ordinal and it’s not a word. It doesn’t add ‘nth, just punctuation."I think this counts personally. It says "includes" a cardinal number in the title, and 69 is counting years. It's included with an extra '.
A cardinal number is "counting number" - a whole number that answers the question, "how many?" 69 is a cardinal number. The '69 is probably an abbreviation of 1969, which is also a cardinal number. Just FYI.

Thanks!
I also found some books with multiple editions, some of which fit. I assume if it has an edition with the cardinal digital number, I can use it.

There is a listopia for numbers, which made it easy.
You guys are killing me...I have at least one book on my physical bookshelf for several of these prompts, including the one I put in the swap. Oh what to do...
Give me a little time. I promise I will make a decision soon, just gotta look up a few things first.
Okay, I think I will take5. Read a book whose title includes a cardinal number (must be expressed in digital format, i.e. 2 not two).
Sorry Nancy...
Lyn wrote: "Okay, I think I will take5. Read a book whose title includes a cardinal number (must be expressed in digital format, i.e. 2 not two).

No problem Lyn. It’s a pretty good one. Well then I will try for #9 again - Social tags.
I’m Sorry Joanne!
Joanne wrote: "The list Fran made says that number 9 is not available, Nancy. You need to pick a different number"I think that list was at least 2, maybe 3 swaps ago. I took Nancy's prompt from her, so the only prompt not available to Nancy is
#5. Read a book whose title includes a cardinal number (must be expressed in digital format, i.e. 2 not two).

That is correct
So presently it should be Joanne who choosesI think this is correct, let me know if it needs amending

Or you may open 6 which will end the swap
Anita put out this list for who has held a tag twice. I think that has changed:
Here's a list of people who have held the same prompt twice. There's a limit of three times so I wanted to alert you.
I've had 8 twice, so I'll add my name. Nancy have you had any twice?

Thanks for the updates Bnb.
I had #9 once before, so this is my second time.
Amy had #4 before this. Robin had the most turns but I don’t think she had any twice. I can’t think of any others.

*Prompt has been held 3 times and if stolen is no longer available to the named player
Just to clarify on the rules:If a prompt is stolen from you, you may not immediately turn around and steal it back from the person who took it from you.
But once another turn has been taken, then the prompt is again in play for you going forward.
The exception to this rule is if you have held the prompt three times already. Then, if the prompt is stolen, you may never steal it again.
