I am anxiously awaiting my turn, I know it will come. In the meantime, I have been researching prompts, and have been able to find something I am interested in reading for most of them. Some are definitely easier than others. Those lists for alliteration titles are very helpful, thanks for sharing those. Still don't know for sure what I will pick when my turn comes around.

Amy hasn't decided yet, correct? Sorry, there's a lot of words, but I don't think she's made her decision whether to steal or open a new number right?

You are correct. She said it would be tonight.

Yes. Had to go back to work, but didn’t even go back into the house before I finished my research….. I found four more alliteration so I’m gonna go with that. Let me scroll up and remember what number it is, but I’m going to steal the triple alliteration one.
Lyn, there’s an actual list or more? I didn’t even catch that. I just went through the thousand titles on my phone to see if anything stood out.
I'm so glad that alliteration prompt works for you, Amy. I thought it was going to be an easy-ish one when I got it on my list, but the three-word minimum got me. I've sampled and discarded so many things, I finally had to give up! PS - My notifications haven't been working for a while now, so I apologize if it takes me a minute to catch when it's my turn! I'm trying to remember to keep checking this thread, but I'm also having computer problems so it's bad timing all around over here

Ahh, thank you!!! I didn't register that (obviously).
Amy wrote: "Lyn, there’s an actual list or more? I didn’t even catch that. I just went through the thousand titles on my phone to see if anything stood out."Yes, see message 48. Nancy provided links to a few lists.
Robin, you are up!You may steal:
1. Read a fiction bestseller from the year you were born. If already read it, read the fiction bestseller from the year and immediate family member was born. (Nancy)
2. Read a collection of any year's best short fiction or stories edited by a favorite author (Theresa)
3. Read a book by Stephen King (Rachel N)
NOT ELIGIBLE 4. Read a book with a title where all the words begin with the same letter (3 word minimum) (Amy)
7. Read a book about the closest sports franchise to where you live. Sport of your choice. (Joanne)
8. A book whose title is a pun, i.e. Assault and Pepper. (BooknBlues)
Or you may open 5, 6, 9 or 10.
Amy wrote: "Lyn, there’s an actual list or more? I didn’t even catch that. I just went through the thousand titles on my phone to see if anything stood out."See message 48. There aren’t many triples Amy, but you might find something new on the listopias. The last list I added was the holiday list, and I noticed quite a few triples. The tag list seemed to be mostly kids books.
Added- I liked This Time Tomorrow. It’s time travel focusing on a father and daughter. It fits this prompt because it’s three words with the same starting letter (even though it’s not three times alliterative, because th and t make different sounds. Sorry to be pedantic, but I mention it just in case it comes up.)
Joanne wrote: "Take the King book back Robin!!"But I want the King prompt and she doesn't 😀. Go for something you actually like Robin!
I was out at a meeting, and things progressed!I still haven't seen one I actually want, so I will open #10
(If you haven't noticed, I have a strong preference for even numbers, I have all my life and I have no idea why!)

Do you tend to value predictability over creativity?
Our brains can process even numbers more quickly and smoothly, so we might learn to associate them with order, comfort, and predictability. Many associate even with female, odd with male. Even numbers feel rounder and more harmonious to me too.
I might pick odd numbers when I’m restless for change. I think I got that idea from a creativity course. If you need new ideas or new approaches, using odd numbers or groupings might help shake up your thinking, or get you out of your comfort zone.

My mistake- just caught up in the moment-lol
Joy, you are up next! You may steal:

Or you may open 5, 6, or 9.
Anita wrote: "Robin, you have selected:10. Read a book where one of the main characters is in the military"
This will work. Joy's review of a book by Nevil Shute reminded me I still have several of his unread. And another one I am about to read also has military scenes.
You are up, Joanne :)You may steal:

Sorry, I kept you waiting I had an appt that ran late....And sorry Robin, but I will steal from you. Not chancing, with the few numbers left...
NancyJ wrote: "Robin, I don’t think words like of, the, or and count. BUT... the way I read the prompt ALL the words in the title have to start with the same letter. (minimum 3-word title). So Oona Out of Order definitely works. But The Secret Society of Salzburg has both "the" and "of" which do not start with 's', so it wouldn't count.
Perhaps the person who actually submitted the prompt should be the one weighing in on the answer to what counts and what doesn't.
Robin P wrote: "Ok, I will change my strategy and open 9."The prompt you have chosen is:
9. Read a book with a tag that starts with "social" (Sociology, society, social psychology, social sciences, social, social- justice, sociable, sociopath, social engineering, social commentary, etc.)

My name should currently be next to #9. I am ok with that one, but curious to see what the last 2 options are.
So Today Tonight Tomorrow by Rachel Lynn Solomon also counts. All of the words have to start with the same letter with a minimum three…..
Robin P wrote: "My name should currently be next to #9. I am ok with that one, but curious to see what the last 2 options are."Thank you for pointing out I missed that! It gets confusing if I don't keep close track. I have a spreadsheet tracker too, but still.

At this point I think it’s Anita’s call.
If Oona Out of Order and This Time Tomorrow are the only two books that fit the prompt exactly the way it’s written, it’s far too narrow. Allowing words like “of, and, or, the,” seems very reasonable to me, but it might result in only a few extra choices. There way be another way to broaden the prompt.
I happen to have Oona Out of Order in my TBR, so I wouldn’t mind. I already read This Time Tomorrow. Oh, and Amy found Today Tonight Tomorrow. Amy if

Robin, this looks like something you could easily handle. Books on women’s history, feminism, language, or linguistics are bound to have one of those tags. Many authors of color books have social justice or other tags too.
I would be happy to steal it if given the chance.
I am going to steal from Joanne :)10. Read a book where one of the main characters is in the military
It was a hard decision...
sorry you had to wait. I was at my face to face book group meeting. We were discussing James

Why Nancy, are you aiming to steal my prompt? I’ll have to look at the rest of my list to see if anything else fits other than those two. Because I did come up with a good six or seven. But some of them may have had some other filler words. But I dare say that you’re eyeing this one.

My other group mentions alliteration once in a while, so I was killing time with searches, and procrastinating all the actual work I should be doing. I have one possibility for Stephen King, one book for yours, and tons of options for Robin’s #9. Oops I think it’s now Joanne’s.
It might be a moot point because I don’t think anyone is going to Steal my bestseller prompt. I have a mom sitter tomorrow afternoon and I’m taking advantage of my free time. I won’t be tied to my computer all day for a change, but I’ll have my cell phone.
I'm stealing #1 from Nancy - I investigated and found some options for bestseller from the year you were born.
Oooh the thieves are active, sneaking in and lifting the goods to fade back into the steamy hot dark of the summer night.
