Finished-and I hate that it was so short and this series is over-(view spoiler)[ I was really hoping for more than what we already knew about Landon and Aubry as well as more of Charlie. Didn't really understand why she was thrown in there except maybe that was the next book, but this was from 2022, so I am thinking not. :( (hide spoiler)]

Chapters 1-5 => (view spoiler)[I'm curious how either Kaine's wife/girlfriend and child died and who he blames for it. I'm guessing it's someone in the family based on the prologue.

I'm also guessing there is more to Piper and the whole child thing as well. (hide spoiler)]

Chapters 16-end => (view spoiler)[I'm glad that Kaine was able to work through his issues. Especially with his brother. I think his anger was a little misguided, honestly, but I've never been through something that devastating, so I don't really know. It might have lasted the entire book, and I was starting to get frustrated with it.

They have a good ending, and I'm looking forward to reading Isaiah's story (hide spoiler)]
