Belladonna Belle:
"Shan A, you are absolutely right… we don’t need encouragement. Encouragement is for the faint of heart. We, my dear, run on terror, dread, and the delicious sound of toys rattling in the dark. Save your sweet words — they won’t protect anyone now that the game has begun."

Unlike gold or silver, steel was difficult to work into delicate shapes, so it was rarely used for display crowns — more for hidden reinforcement or sacred symbolism. I am going to have to say no on this.

Would tale also count? Since a tale could be someone's (embelished or dramatized) observation of something that happened... and in german (the book I want it to fit is in german A Tale of Foxes and Moons) a tale is "Erzählung", which is also a synonym for a report, which could count as a recording, no? 🤓

I'm super curious about this too!

I noticed that also!

You were meant to do both tasks. I know our wording could have been better so please forgive us for this.

Oh, so you wanted more work? Very well, I’ve given you a shiny new Justification Column.
Idle hands, after all, make such tempting playthings for my toys. 🧸🔪
Now, perhaps you’ll spend less time whining about columns and more time focusing on your tasks… before the toys decide you deserve a special penalty of their own.

🪡 Belle’s ribbon curls tighter as she reads your note, her glassy eyes gleaming.
“Oh… what a delicious question,” she whispers, tracing the word ‘tale’ with one porcelain finger.
“A tale,”she croons, “isn’t that just a memory… dressed in lace and lies?”
She twirls a lock of hair. “Whether it’s whispered by firelight or scribbled in blood, a tale records something, doesn’t it? A moment. A message. A warning.”
Toymaker Donna chuckles in the dark.
“If they argue,” she says, “just remind them: not all records are made with machines. Some… are carved into the minds of those who dared to listen.”
Belle nods.
“Yes, tale counts.”
And then she leans in, too close, too cold.
“But only if you promise… to tell it well.”

Is there a specific way that Belle and the Toymakers would like to see the Bonuses recorded on the spreadsheet?

Sorry, I forgot to it under your toys. It is there now.

danielle wrote: "Question… If I have to do extra books for a curse, and 1 book meets Belle’s Rule, would that count for the toy/object since it’s in the same round?"
Curse books do NOT count as they are not Toy/object tasks. These are separate from your regular tasks.

Thank you so much!! I tried searching, obviously not well!!

2. For the rule about using a formal Buddy read for a thread, can we use a past FBR?
3. Belle’s Rule: our current task includes 3 chains with 3 books each. Do all books need to be out of comfort zone (9 books)? Or does each player read a “Belle’s Rule” book(3 books)? OR does only member have to comply (1 book)?
Thanks!

"
This was helpful! But I see in our SS, a tier 2 only gives 5 points, not 8.

Really? I will take a look. It may be a typo. If it is, then I will adjust all the spreadsheets accordingly. Thanks for letting me know.

1. Yes, you may even request a Buddy Read thread and get those extra points
2. Let's stick with the current ones for now
3. Belle's Rule is one book per player per toy/object. You can choose which task to apply it to.

If you request a BR thread and discuss the book (and meet the requirements), I will give you the points.

If you contribute more to the conversation after they join, you may change the tier. Otherwise, no. It should be a real discussion between all parties. Talk about your favorite parts of the book, laugh, and have fun.
