Hey everyone, I'm Deanna LaForce, and I'm so excited to share my work with you.

Before you dive into my stories, I wanted to share the mission behind them.

By day, I'm a Registered Nurse on the front lines of an ER. I've seen firsthand how real-world stress... from financial trouble to bullying... can have devastating consequences on people's health and well-being.

When I was a teenager, I was obsessed with Choose Your Own Adventure books. It was thrilling because my decisions mattered. But I realized that no one ever gives you an adventure book for the real-life challenges... the ones our parents and teachers sometimes forget to tell us about, like how to understand credit scores, the dangers of high-interest fees, or how to build a healthy social media presence.

That's why I've started a new mission: to educate through fiction.

My ultimate goal is to create and print a series of children's and teen books that I can give away for free. I'm even working on a full cosplay of my character, RNTROOPER, to wear when I visit schools and children's hospitals to read stories and connect with kids.

My first step on this mission is a story for teens called HARSH, which I've uploaded here for you to read.

It’s a classic "Choose Your Own Adventure" that puts you in the shoes of a 16-year-old who inherits $20,000 and has to make some tough choices. It’s a safe way to learn life's hard financial lessons... without the damage to your own bank account.

As an ER RN, I made sure the lessons are grounded in reality and backed by science!
