heav (hamilton’s version) (judesduartes) | 23 comments usually around the 50-70% mark, i know what i’m gonna rate a book lol. this more or less changes depending on how the rest of the book goes, but the initial rating usually sticks! sometimes i have to think on it for a few hours tho if i’m unsure. sometimes i just don’t rate it at all

♥ a r o a ♥ | 3 comments I use to reflect on rating in order to be as fair as I could be with authors and their job. I usually slightly change my ratings as I write my reviews because I like to gather my thoughts, especially when it comes to a series 📖 ♡

Aroush ♡ | 10 comments when I get to the 70 -80 percent of the book I automatically know what rating I want to give it

Liz~In~Colorado (usershow187510908-liz-incolorado) | 30 comments same.. unless it's just so bad it ends up a dnf... but I try really hard not to do that. Although many books I read yearsssss ago I have been trying to at least give another thought, as sometimes our ratings change as we experience life and have read more also. 🌹

Anita Kyne | 21 comments I won’t rate a book unless I finish it. I have had too many books meander along and were decent, just to knock me out of my seat with their ending and make the rest of the book make sense.

George Stenger | 99 comments I always wait until I finish the book. There are some books that I want to think about for a couple of days before I write a review and rate it.

Diane | 24 comments I often think I know how I’m going to rate it halfway through and that usually changes! I just bumped the one up in my mind that I’m currently reading. I have 10% left

sarah | 288 comments Pretty much at 80% done I’m already formulating my review and rating.

Rebecca Cecil | 272 comments I wait until the book is finished but I usually know pretty much how I am going to rate it by 65-75% of the book, unless it is really horrible but get extremely good all the sudden but that rarely is the case.

Lilly Britting | 7 comments I have to wait until a day or so after I read the book. I think if I didn't do that my reviews would lean to extremes. I need to process what the book is trying to convey and be able to stop thinking about that one plot twist that messed me up.
I am also a person who doesn't love the idea of rating books, I only rate books on Goodreads if it was really good. (IDK I don't love the idea of rating others forms of escapism because every book will be a 5 star book for someone and almost every book has something that someone needs or a message someone needs to hear.)

evlove | 89 comments @Lilly that’s a nice approach, to only rate if you really vibed with it. I see some ppl do that on here. Ive been contemplating my rating system to be more fair cause i used to rate in extremes more too. I feel like with bigger authors idc as much if i give them a one star tho cause its a drop in the bucket 😅

Kristina Kamaeva | 76 comments I am generous with my ratings. I know it's hard to write a book. All books have their flaws, but sometimes you forgive them and sometimes you don't. But I never force myself to read books that I don't like. I DNF easily. So I don't have to rate them!
