YA or NA incomplete mana or LITRPG book with QUEST(OR?) in title

This began as a serial book by some author on a site for doing same.

The young man and his dog live in an area with mana [apparently some kind of magic or energy source]. He, the dog, and sometimes a young woman go to a mine searching for things he can sell.
At least once, something happens and there is a library (?) of books or stuff, but later he doesn't find it. Periodically he levels up [IIRC, he actually talks with something that discusses going this way or that way to level up].
