There is nothing to say that any of those image are public domain, we have to assume they are copyright and cannot be used.
There is a thumbnail picture on Amazon. In a google search it looks bigger. Can you use it if it's from Amazon?
For a recent author it is unlikely that you will find a usable image. Copyright for photographs remains with estate/beneficiaries for 70 years after the death of the photographer.

He wasn't a fan of social media; I doubt that's changed, so I don't see him ever coming to Goodreads. If there is a picture out there that you can use I'd appreciate it.
