Probably read between 2018 and 2020. I cannot for the life of me remember the name of this book. I may also be mixing up a few books. A female main character attends a college of magical being, all different types. She kinda falls for a future prince of his kind, but he doesn't want it. He stays in a house with like 4 other besties who are princess of their own kinds. Then one day there is a siren or selkie attack on the school and the FMC is one of the few not affected by the siren song and they try to protect everyone. I think it's a series, and like the boyfriend dad traps then in the second book because he wants to stay king.
