Is Powerless worth the read?

should I read Powerless? I haven't read many fantasy books and I've been trying to find a book to get into fantasy. PLEASE help me hahaha (warning: i dont like smut or cheesy books)

No. I read all of them, and I won’t lie, the banter and character interactions were great. But the plot was just a mishmash of different storylines from other books. Like: “Red Queen” “Hunger Games” “The Inheritance Games” and many, many more. If I had known going in that it would be a watered down copy of incredible books with a few minor changes here and there- I never would have picked it up.
That being said, I did enjoy it, but It didn’t deserve all the hype because it was not original.
And the more I read, the more annoyed I became. It was one hundred percent a guilty pleasure, and when I read it I felt like I was betraying the authors who did come up with the ORIGINAL plots, especially since the series’ that Lauren Roberts was clearly copying, are some of my all time favorites.
IMO “Powerful” was the best one, because it was the only one that felt semi original.

So, long story short, don’t read it.

I just finished the trilogy and I think it’s a fun book to read. It’s clean, flirty, and the fmc is rlly badass. But this book is NOT an enemies to lovers
