How can a Kindle edition be added?

I understand that a recent change in policy prevents a librarian to add a Kindle edition. My question is, how can I manually trigger an addition of Kindle edition?

I have multiple Amazon accounts due to my need for multi-language environment. As far as I know, I can only link one of my Amazon accounts at a time to Goodread. That means I can only create Kindle edition entries through using that linked account. However, I'd like to add my Kindle books from my unlinked accounts as well.

Is there any way to manually trigger the addition of Kindle book in this situation?

I manually type 'Kindle Edition' in the format field.

There's no way to do that to my knowledge.

I thought you were supposed to add it as an ebook now, just with the asin. If adding the book manually.

The other thing you could do would be to ask amazon to import it, as if they add the book it will say kindle.

As Emily said there isn't a way for us, as librarians, to add a book as kindle or audible audio, now.

The problem is, when I actually try to do that, the detail edit page says this:

1 error prohibited this book from being saved:
Format cannot be set as Kindle Edition

Am I using the correct form field? I choose "Other" in the "format" field, which lets me enter free text like "Kindle Edition." But then I get the error above and cannot save my edit.

I wonder how to proceed. Who should I report this issue?

Ah, I kept misreading apparently... Thanks for pointing it out.

I suppose the entry that I manually create with an ASIN will be correctly synchronized automatically (as Kindle/Audible edition) at some point with the info from Amazon. Hope that's the case...
