Five Beautiful Stars!!! I really just loved this book and can see why it is giving all the feels and getting all the raves. This is a movie within a book. As a young woman who is broken and defended learns to open herself up and experience love. First with falling in love with a movie that has yet to be made, and second with the cinematographer who also feels its power, and yet stands in its way. Third, with his family, who steals the show of the book, and who teaches her that one falls in love over breakfast. I cried a lot in the last 25% of this book, which I listened to in audio, but never more fiercely than when Janie comes home to find her best friend waiting on the porch swing with soup. This is a love story, but one that also embraces the love of best friends who "see" you and love you, the love between mothers and daughters, the love we have for art and film, and shy kids who bust out, and long ago TV shows that melted our hearts, and for the journey of discovering oneself. Of capturing moments that feel authentic. This book spoke to me, and honestly, I loved the movie within the book. This book would be and will make a phenomenal movie. And I will be first in line.

I'm glad to see you liked this. I enjoyed her earlier book, Nora Goes Off Script and hope to read this one.

I have read three or four of hers. Just read summer romance last month. Or rather I listen to it. I just find that she’s a really good romance author to listen to. I don’t think I’ve read her ever. But Nora, goes off script is one of the only ones if not the only one I haven’t read yet. She does have a LA/Hollywood Intel in many of these. Writers and actors and movies.
