Jackal of the Waste is a tandem novel and is not complete without The Mine Lord.

The Jackal of the Waste tells of Rothe Stonefoot's journey from Deep Cut until just before he encounters Yorvig at Glint.

It is recommended to read this novel at or after chapter seventy-four of The Mine Lord.
