So we just read Older by Jennifer Hartman for our group read for June. It's a slow burn, angsty read. For me this one was a five star. It has great dialog, great characters, believable storyline, somewhat dark, and not the cringy feelings you sometimes get with a large age-gap story.
Halley is 17 when she meets Reed who is 35 and her best friend's dad. Neither of them know that when they meet. It takes several years before they are actually together. It was a really good read though.
Not insta-love, which I hate, and both characters are very well developed. There is a twist about 3/4th of the way through I didn't expect.
I will think of some others, but I wanted to get this one recommended since I just finished it.
I also really liked older! birthday girl and credence by Penelope Douglas are also really good …I wouldn’t say they are dark romance though but they are really spicy with age gaps

Birthday Gorl was freaking ah-maz-ing!!!!!!! That book lives rent free in my head!!!!!
Birthday Girl and Credence by Penelope Douglas were really amazing book.
A lot of Penelope Douglas, Birthday Girl was great as mentioned and I really loved Creedence.
