This is not a book I ever would have picked up on my own, but I'm about halfway through on audio and really enjoying it. From the beginning, it has reminded me of The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet. I do enjoy the found family trope quite a bit.
I read this a few years back and enjoyed it. I didn't think I would re-read it for the book group, but it's included with my Audible US membership, so I thought I would give the audio version a try. I'm liking it so far. (Cheryl, it also reminded me of The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet when I read it the first time.) I am also a fan of the found family trope. :-)
I voted for this, so in good faith I will finish it, but I'm just not feeling this one. It doesn't feel cozy or anything beyond mildly whimsical. That sort of amorphous vibe that seems to lack any identity or direction is a big drawback for me.

Unless I'm warning someone else, I don't usually pay much attention to content warnings, but that seems like a lot for "Farscape meets The Great British Bake Off. I'm almost positive that I've read at least one short story by them, but I cannot remember what it was.
