The opening scene is 3 men playing poker in a saloon. A quiet man with black eyes named Uncle. A young out of towner named London and the owner of the saloon. London loses $20 to Uncle and get mad demanding Uncle to speak. The owner tries to deescalate but London reaches for his gun. Uncle draws and shoots him three times while seated. Uncle works for a rich man that wants to own the town. The saloon owners are building a town near a Nez Perce settlement. The morning after Uncle kills London in the Saloon men try to rob the bank. The Saloon owner, the Sheriff, and Uncle kill them when they exit the bank.

The saloon owner and his wife Colleen also own the bank but they keep that a secret. Colleens brother is soon to graduate college along with a woman who will be the first Nex Perce to do so.
