The ending is so confusing

I have read this book several times. I've gone online and read the explanation of the plot. Yet, I do not understand it.
Is it just me or do you guys have the same thing happening.
Also, if anyone has found a good explanation, please let me know, I'd love to read it and see if I can finally figure it out.
