I'm Book_Whisp, can call me Whisp or really anything you want. I enjoy sharing my thoughts about books and hearing other people's opinions about book so I decided to join! 😊
I read mostly dark romance but anything goes in the books of love and I will read any romance available or that you can think of. 😊
One of my favourite books is Lovely Bad Things, a serial killer dark romance! 🫣🤭
I read as I go, sometimes one at a time sometimes I read 5 at a time. It depends in the mood. 😆
I really just want to rant about books and hear others rant about them. 😅😁

More than welcome to rant about books and listen to them too! I know you will probably hear them from me LOL
Currently, still trying to get page set up but once its done, feel free to start your own threads :)

Thank you for the invite!
1. What’s your name, and what brings you to the book club?
A= My name is Nya, I have been a GR member since Dec 2009. I've been a group moderator for a few groups since 2014 on this site as well..
I LOVE to read and share my experience through reading in the form of my reviews and group discussions/book shares..
So, what brings me here is that Emi invited me. What made me join is that I love to read and discuss books 📚 with fellow book lovers..
2. What kind of books do you enjoy reading the most?
A= I enjoy dark, romance reads. Complicated characters and circumstances that have plights to overcome and battles to endure to reach their endings or HEA. These are the books I enjoy reading the most. I am not big on fluff hearts and flowers pieces. Though sometimes you need to read these kind of stories..
But I do enjoy many different genre reads if they're written well..
3. What’s a favourite book you’ve read recently—or an all-time favourite?
A= All time favorite read for me has to be Kristen Ashley's, The Golden Dynasty. But there are so many books I love that are a close 2nd to this one as well..
4. Are you more of a “one-book-at-a-time” reader or a “stack-on-the-nightstand” kind of reader?
A= Definitely tend to read my books one at a time.. Mainly because I need to be able to devote my attention to that book and that book only.. I do not want other reads that I'm jumping inbetween, to possibly influence my experience or rating on the other book I'm reading, during the reading process or when it's time to review it.
5. What are you hoping to get out of this book club?
A= Hoping to meet great people over the discussions of the books we love and love to hate..

I keep meaning to pick up the Golden Dynasty by Kristen Ashley :) is it really that good?

I keep meaning to pick up the Golden Dynasty by Kristen Ashley :) is it really that good?"
Ooooooh It is so good.. IMO, the best work that KA has EVER written.. I think she peaked with that story...
We should do a M.E. group-read together..

My name is Debbie, and I’ve had a lifelong love of reading. I joined GR many years ago after clicking on a link in a Kristen Ashley book. I love to talk and share with others about great books I’ve read, and getting good recommendations as well😃
I’ve read many genres of books, but currently my favorite reads are darker romances. There’s just something about those bad boys…….🤭
Emi, I very much agree with Nya-Golden Dynasty is fantastic, and one of my favorites!👍

I have primarily been a nonfiction reader up until recently, when I discovered that fiction actually is really enjoyable. I am very picky about my fiction, but once I get invested I don't put it down.
I recently finished Lady Tan's Circle of Women, which I borrowed from my library's e-book collection on a whim. I completely enjoyed it, both for the cultural experience it provided and the solid plot and characterization all the way through. If you haven't read it, I would highly recommend.
I am definitely a stack-on-the-nightstand reader, simply because I will often sample many books in order to find one that I enjoy. Once I do, I usually finish it fairly quickly.
I hope to find a circle of friends and motivation to continue reading here in this little book club :D Thanks!

I keep meaning to pick up the Golden Dynasty by Kristen Ashley :) is it really that good?"
Ooooooh It is so good....."
Yes! lets do it! is it a stand-alone or do I need to read Wildest Dreams first? both are on KU at the moment which means I can start straight away XD

I am so glad to have both of you here!
What's been your favourite dark romance recently Debbie?
I will defo be adding that Circle of Women to my WTR list for this year, Kel! what a great recommendation! XD

No you don't have to read book 1 first.. I actually read the Golden Dynasty first, before going back and reading the others in that series in order...
Golden Dynasty is the only book in that series that can actually be read out of sequence, however..

LOL! Cause even though the secondary plot is connected to all of the other books, book 2-The Golden Dynasty, is the only book that is told in terms that can be read as a standalone. The other books, 1,3,4, and 5, must be read in order..
I tell everyone that I recommend this book to, that if you only read one book in the Fantasyland series, then that book should be The Golden Dynasty.. Hands down the best book in the series and the absolute BEST work Kristen Ashley has EVER done, IMO.

I’m a big fan of fantasy with a solid plot and well-written characters. And if it’s high fantasy, then you can bet my sleep schedule’s probably a total mess.
Recently, I read Assassin’s Apprentice and really loved it. Robin Hobb’s prose and her talent for writing characters are just top-notch. As of now, my all-time favorite is Words of Radiance.
Are you more of a “one-book-at-a-time” reader or a “stack-on-the-nightstand” kind of reader?
I’d say I’m kind of both—depends on my mood.
Really looking forward to meeting new people, hearing different opinions, and geeking out together.

1. What’s your name, and what brings you to the book club?
I'm Sam, I've been looking for a chill book club to share my love for books and discuss book-related things.
2. What kind of books do you enjoy reading the most?
Honestly, I can read anything and everything. I've spent last year discovering different genres and been reading Homer and other Greek mythology books this year.
3. What’s a favourite book you’ve read recently—or an all-time favourite?
Harry Potter would definitely be an all-time favourite. Open Water by Caleb Nelson & Conversations with friends by Sally Rooney are books I think about often.
4. Are you more of a “one-book-at-a-time” reader or a “stack-on-the-nightstand” kind of reader?
I usually have a stack around, a classic, thriller and fanfiction (sometimes a fantasy book too)
5. What are you hoping to get out of this book club?
Just some like-minded company tbh

Welcome! I am so glad you are hear! Please feel free to start threads and chat :)

I mostly read romance, from pearl clutching to darker reads, not too dark. My favorite, hmmm. First one that comes to mind, Wild Wicked Obsession by Layla Frost. I usually read one book at a time but, that is not a definite. I love books, reading and hearing others opinions and sharing mine.
Hello to all! I'm Dave 😁
Been a GR member for 6 months roughly. Got an immediate good vibe from this book club. Thank you Emi.
Why did I join? Well I'm very much an introvert unless I know you well, then I'm just a crazy ass extroverted Gemini! I thought it might be nice to put myself out there and engage with some fellow book lovers 🤓
I love thriller/horror/non fiction, new science and spirituality mainly. But I've been branching out lately and trying new genres like poetry. Just finished reading Demon Copperhead which I thoroughly enjoyed!
Fave books I read recently? Clive Barker's Imajica and Mary Oliver's Devotions.
I'm usually reading 2 or 3 books at a time. Got Mr Mercedes, Braiding Sweetgrass, and Dog Poems going at the moment.
I'm an easy going Aussie guy who just loves purchasing books to add to my tbr list. I truly believe reading books and buying them are 2 separate hobbies! I'm always interested in what others are reading and their views on the book they're reading.
Hope to find kind and respectful people here to share our love for books 📚 📚 📚 📚

Thank you Emi and Princess Nya for you warm welcome - very happy to be onboard 🤗

Hello to Debbie and Patricia - great to meet you both!

I am a reader, here to connect with you.
Favourite book changes with my mood but lord of the rings is the most thoughtful, I have ever read.
Recent I read,

It's a different kind of appeal.

I’m Natti :) I’m pretty new to Goodreads (joined in April), and I’m excited to be part of this great group!
I love reading classics, dystopias, psychological thrillers, and (historical) dramas.
Some of my all-time favorite books are The Great Gatsby, Atonement, The Handmaid's Tale, The Running Man, and The Green Mile.
Books I adored as a teenager that still hold a special place in my heart include Looking for Alaska, The Fault in Our Stars, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, and, of course, the Hunger Games and Harry Potter series.
Lately, I've really enjoyed Dune, Verity, and The Picture of Dorian Gray. I'm currently reading The House in the Cerulean Sea, which has been a fun change of pace.
I'm usually a “two-books-at-a-time” kind of reader, as long as the genres are totally different.
I'm hoping to find a fun, thoughtful reading community here and get some great book recs along the way :)
Greetings from Rome, Italy!

Welcome to our little corner on Good reads :)
please feel free to start topics, discussions etc within the group, or if you have something you would like me to set up for you, please let me know :)

I enjoy books of all kinds and will read pretty much any genre. Right now I'm enjoying romance, especially if it involves werewolves.
My all-time favorite book has to be 1984.
I'm mainly a one book at a time reader, but also have a list of unfinished books that I intend on finishing.
I'm hoping that this book club will have a nice community revolving around a love of books... and maybe help me find more books to read!

I enjoy books of all kinds and will read pre..."
Hi Miranda! Nice to meet you!
Book rec's from me would be anything on my read list that's rated 4 stars or higher..

let me know what u have recently read and we can chat:)

Hello. My name is Kalinka. I am here because Emi, our group moderator, invited me. Thank you, Emi!
Books I enjoy are:
Romance, Sci-Fi Romance, Dark Erotica, Thriller, Suspense, DIY.
I have many favorite books, but an all time favorite of mine is Dom, by S.J. Tilly. It is book #3 in her Alliance series. Though I loved this entire series as well.
It depends on my mood. I usually will read just one book at a time, I do prefer it this way. But sometimes I may want to tackle more than one if I am really anxious to read them both.
I am hoping to mainly just connect with awesome, like minded readers.

who doesn't love dystopia as a genre! we have just finished a reading of the hunger games trilogy! such a good book!
we currently have a book.of the month going on 'A darker shade od magic' if you would like to read along and join in on theories and such :)
