Kristi Smith-High (mskristireads) | 5 comments Hi friends! I’m so excited (and a little nervous) to be jumping back into the world of reading after a 15-year break. During that time, I was fully immersed in homeschooling our kiddo—which was a beautiful journey—but it meant reading for me took a backseat.

Then…in Jan I picked up a little book called 4th Wing during the super bowl and a couple weeks later became fully immersed in the MAASverse! So much has changed in the book world, and honestly, I feel like I’m starting all over again. I used to be super involved years ago, but now I’m rebuilding my bookshelf, rediscovering genres I love, and exploring all the amazing books I’ve missed.

I need book besties and I’d love to connect! Please add me—I’m looking forward to sharing reads, getting recommendations, and building a bookish community again.

Here’s to a new chapter—literally!

Vorheesacker | 11 comments Im in a similar boat - a big reader all through my childhood before a decade-ish break. Not raising a kiddo, but mostly pouring too much(all of) my energy into toxic job and toxic social life- which became its own full time job.

Ditched both, started therapy, and started ACOTAR on a whim and re-discovered my love of reading last year. Now I'm exploring classic and contemporary lit along my little romantasies and having a great time.

Anyways, added ya!

Aleksandra Hi Kristi, I send you friend request
also I haven't read in a year and now I'm in full swing back with the ACOTAR series (on the third book)

〰️Beth〰️ (x1f4a0bethx1f4a0) | 4 comments Hi Ladies❣️

I am Beth and I have been a life long reader but resisted Kindle and GR for years. Then I was very active on GR until some medical issues kept me off.

In January I slowly started getting back into group activity. Found out I missed the formation of “romantacy” and not sure if I will ever like the term 🙄 🤣 I have sent you all a friend request. I am a very diverse reader but I have been leaning more towards fantasy of late. Looking forward to chatting with you all.

Ashley Colina (ashleyccolina) | 11 comments Hey all! It seems like I’m in the same boat as all of you as well!
Was a huge reader when I was a teen, fell off for over a decade and finally got back into the swing of it when I started ACOTAR. Haven’t been able to stop reading fantasy / romance ever since! Went from 0 books to over over 50 in 2 years ♥️

Sarah E B (saraheb2011) | 21 comments Hello there, been a huge reader since I was a little (did struggle a bit thank to my dyslexia but that isn't the point) I have been trying to get back into reading more cozy fantasy, than heavy fantasy book t like the cosmere (EU fantasy connect books by the amazing fantasy author, Brandon Sanderson).

Kara | 2 comments I suppose we’re gonna need a bigger boat! I have found myself in the same situation as all you ladies, more or less. I then sparked my interest in reading again with ACOTAR :)) and am loving it so far.

Riley Bell | 1 comments We're all really just living the same lives LOL I come from a family of readers and in middle school reading was my escape. I fell off in high school and early college, but also came back when I found ACOTAR (when they redid the covers and rebranded them as adult fantasy). Since then I've started a book club with my mom and have tried branching out to try a bunch of new things!! I'm definitely a mood reader but manage to read anywhere from 20-30 books a year. I also just switched jobs out of education so I hope I'll have more time and headspace to devote to my love of reading :)

Kristi Smith-High (mskristireads) | 5 comments Hey guys! If you have social media handles (tik tok/ insta) let’s follow each other!!

Also, just finished up Kennedy Ryan’s Kingmaker duology (check out my reviews if interested) then Im off to my next Romantasy adventure. Trying to figure out which one! KINDREDS CURSE SAGA OR CROWNS OF NYAXIA. Any suggestion?

message 12: by Morgan (new)

Morgan (mbross94) | 1 comments I also have a similar story. Read a lot during my childhood and through high school. But suddenly stopped. After taking a 10 year break I decided to get back into it once booktok came around. I’ve definitely struggled with my reading lately. Since I had some big life changes it’s been hard to focus on a book even though I want to. I’m definitely not reading as fast I would like, but at least I’m getting a couple in here and there.

I’m down for sharing socials!

Q (qtopia) | 1 comments Similar story here as well. I used to read ALOT in middle and high school and then I stopped reading fiction for about 10-15 years and was solely reading non-fiction for some reason. I have just recently got back into fiction in January with a reread of ACOTAR 🥰 Maas has had me by the throat ever since I read that for the first time along with so many other great authors I’ve discovered. Anyone on here feel free to add me 😊 I’m active on here daily. I also have IG @qtopian.tales if anyone prefers other forms of social media to connect. 🫶🏾
