Changing my author name

Hello amazing librarians! When I published my first book 11 years ago, I went with my real name for my author name. (Bold but dumb move) I'm now a teacher and I want to separate that with being an author (when you search my name my Instagram pops up!) I do not have a huge following BUT I did just do a goodreads giveaway and don't want to lose readers for my newest book. (I don't have a large readership or following at this point at all, but that giveaway was expensive.)

Amazon says to republish a new edition and change my pen name that way (my books are copy written under my legal name) advice on this, and how to change all my goodreads things? I would need to just change the cover and my profile name. But I didn't want to mess it up! Thanks in advance!

You cannot change your Goodreads profile name but the new name can be added as secondary on the new editions.
