Acotar was my first fantasy book and made me fall in love with the genre, I never went back to anything else :) I think it’s a good series to start with. Maybe Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo, or Hollow Heathens by Nicole Fiorina 🙂
A court of thorns and roses The cruel prince
Caraval
Once upon a broken heart
These books got me into fantasy and I think they are pretty easy to understand and read

Fantasy books also pack a lot of information. There are also sub genres like epic, urban, historical, romantic… it depends on which one you’re interested in trying
i'd say start with something that's low fantasy yet entertaining and then explore after that more higher fantasy levels. so maybe powerless by lauren roberts to start off!! <3
Like others have said- ACOTAR is a great place to start because it’s easily digestible. I would also suggest magical realism as a starting point! These are stories that take place in a modern world but have magical elements, so the world building is much easier. Ashley Poston does great magical realism; I recommend The Seven Year Slip.Or even Harry Potter or Twilight!
