Did you read Caraval? I would recommend reading caraval first as it has a backstory for mmc, but you don’t have to if you don’t feel like it. You should still understand everything

I can not comprehend how much I absolutely adored this series. The romance is there and the plot-the everything ties in together so beautifully like a box of chocolates.
