Luis Eduardo Esquivel (luiseduesquivel) | 20 comments Hello,

I was wondering if these author pages should be unified as they are the same person:

Jorge Mario Bergoglio: https://www.goodreads.com/author/show...

And:

Pope Francis:
https://www.goodreads.com/author/show...

The same should apply to this one which is the same person but with the spanish title:

Papa Francisco:
https://www.goodreads.com/author/show...

Thanks!

Javier (palchetti) | 30786 comments No, name variants in other languages should be kept as secondary authors per policy, as long as there are books with that specific version of the name printed on the cover (see https://help.goodreads.com/s/article/..., "Authors published in multiple languages").

Anyway books with author "Papa Francisco" should have "Pope Francis" as the main author, then the Spanish variant as secondary author. As there are hundred of books in that profile, this is probably a task for the Looking for a Project? folder.
