Hey everyone!

First off, thank you all so much for stepping up as moderators for Read it and Weep! Your enthusiasm and dedication mean a lot, and I’m excited to see how we can make this group an amazing space for all of our members.

I’d love to hear your thoughts on ways we can make things even more fun and engaging. If you have any ideas—whether it’s new events, challenges, or creative ways to interact—please share!

Emma, since you’re our Event Coordinator, I’d especially love to hear your thoughts on cool activities we could add to bring people together.

Let’s brainstorm and make this group an awesome place for book lovers! 😄

Okay I have a list

1: book buddies/ groups this one is pretty self explanatory a few people decide on a book they want to read together and give each other updates

2: book snacks- I think that might be the name of a monthly subscription box BUT its basically a place where we put all our favourite things to eat and drink while reading

3: playlist: we make a shared playlist where we put songs we live to listen to while reading, songs that remind us of certain books, etc.

4: song of the month: we get a song of the month that fits the vibe of the BOTM

5: book quotes: we make a conversation topic where everyone can just put their favourite book quotes (spoilers allowed)

I’ll get more ideas eventually but this is what I could come up with for now

Oh, I love all of these—especially book quotes and the playlist!
Honestly, these are such solid ideas for making the group even more fun and interactive. I can't wait to see what else you come up with!

Maybe after we finish a BOTM we could make a fancast of the book if it was a movie, and everyone can say their opinion or the actors they would like to play the roles and at the end we can make a final cast for the book

Hey guys sorry I haven’t been active like at all, I have a lot of family stuff going on and that on top of having sports 3 days a week has been a lot and reading had naturally moved pretty low on my priority list. I’m trying to get back into it though. I just need a bit more time because I have a lot going on at the moment. I did start what I believe is BOTM (Better than the movies) Again I’m so sorry and hope everyone has a great day!!!
