Looks like you're planning on full time weekend mode, much like me.

I'll have a bit more break Friday and Sunday but looking forward to it, and you're updates.

Hoping all goes well this time and people leave you alone! :)

I decided, after changing mind yet again, to make some banana nut muffins tonight, and see if I can make some mini cucumber sandwiches for tea time if I can get my hands on some cream cheese. I picked my first garden cucumber today - a bit tough and too early to pick, but going to try to soak it in water to soften it a bit when chopping it.

I'm so happy you found me and my madness🥰

YEP! It's full blown weekend mode!

Looks like I will be up here on the hill pretty much by myself--everyone will be in/out-- so should be pretty peaceful.😁

Let's just hope NOTHING happens with either one of my children or the grandchildren! 🤞

🤣 that's funny--you must be reading my mind!! Lisa loves making banana/banana nut bread--I took her some bananas last night. She's going to make us some bread sometime in the next couple of days. Of course, my allergy won't let me have the nuts, but her bread is really good!

DANG IT--if you were my neighbor I would give you some cream cheese😆 I hope you get some! I like cucumber sandwiches! OH WOW, how exciting on picking your first cucumber! Soaking it should soften it--an old trick that I have used often.

I'm still sorting through what I want to read--I can't make up my mind🤦‍♀ I still need to go through my library books AND see what audio/ebooks I have waiting on Overdrive.

Going through my kindle/audible books has left me indecisive. So some reads may be "just because"

Ooooh nice on Lisa and the bread. I was one egg short for the muffins, ah well, looks like a Walmart shopping order tomorrow for delivery after all. I'll throw the cream cheese in there. The only trip I want to do is try to do a coffee shop reading spot tomorrow nearby Starbucks

I'll definitely do that with the cucumbers, doing the full tea treats on Saturday. May as well throw in some chocolate in my order as I'm out of that. Geez for me on these plans. For my breakfast Saturday I definitely need the eggs as well...

I may crack open the Sangria tonight, though --- it's a big bottle and I always waste some, sipping each night for the four nights sounds like a better treat than waiting tomorrow :D

I need to charge up my tablet for some audio porch reading, make sure all my library rentals loaded, charge those devices, charge my mini fans, and gather up the planned paperbacks to make sure I can find them. My house is a disaster as always.

I'm actually excited about some morning yard work each day with my sun hat, shades, audio, and doing briefly in the morning as a break and little self-care ritual. We'll see!

Lisa made the bread AND muffins about 10 pm last night🤣 She's so silly...BUT she stays busy and does things when she has time!

Glad you were able to place an order instead of actually having to go. I didn't buy or make anything special this go around. I have plenty of stuff here that I need to eat but it's ok! I'm just thankful to have food to eat🥰

I do have chocolate--I keep my miniature candy bar basket full all the time. Between my kids and the grandkids, they get upset if the basket doesn't have their favorites. I keep Hershey's, 100,000 Grand, Mounds, Butterfinger, Milky Way, Snickers, Hershey's Cookies & Cream, Baby Ruth, Reese's, Twix, 3 Musketeers,Heath Bar York Peppermint Patties and Mr Goodbar. 🤦‍♀

Whatever I don't have, I'll have to substitute for something else🤣

I started at 12:01 am. I started with some short stories, graphic novels and other easy reads. I was tired so went with easy stuff.

I listened to a longer audio and played some games on my phone as well.

Around 5 am I got sleepy and went to bed.

I'm doing pretty good. I've spent the evening doing some housekeeping stuff here on GR while audiobooking!

Hope your day is going well!

Hi Cynda!! Thanks for stopping by!

YES!!! I like the "just because" books. I plan out stuff but rarely stick to those planned reads. I lose interest in them and pick up something random🤣

Thank you! I hope you have a good weekend of reading too!

Hey Ann! Thanks for stopping by!

OH yeah!!! I had started reading them a while back, got side tracked by other books. When I got back to them, I started from the beginning. I just have a couple more to go and I'll be finished.

Hoping to complete the series during this RaT!

Hey Cathy! Thanks for visiting!

I started reading these years ago. Never finished! I think I've read the first few more than once. Every time I start, I never finish. Maybe this time I can stick with it!

Happy Reading to you!

Now for the reading. Your TBR is great. Something for any kind of mood you are in.

I am here last minute looking to see what I am going to do. I unfortunately won't be reading the whole time, but am looking forward to what I can do.

That candy jar sounds dangerous! I would have a hard time not getting into it!

Have a great read a thon and I will check back later in the weekend!

I ate a muffin today and was very good - dropped some off at the parents to share ;) Also had an ice cream sundae, starbucks stop with dinner, and bought some dove chocolates - so really I'm set in the sweets department. Most of my day was spent reading with audio or some physical but some interruptions as been chilling. I am happy to say I feel I got a lot of stuff done around my room, which makes me feel accomplished, did get the small amt of gardening done today. Haven't done the stretching for the day yet but going to squeeze it in. Been very pleasant and peaceful, so hoping it stays that way until I go to work Tuesday :0)

Best of luck to us both!

I never finish many of my goals but have fun doing it. Nice stack :)

I do want to get up around 7ish so sadly will go to bed decently soon, although I don't want to lol. Made some decaf tea in the bdroom with an ambience video on the TV, going to play a little computer games and updates with audio then read more of the paperback Men of the Otherworld in bed, then crash.

Hi Vicki!!! Thank you!!

Trust me, don't let all this fool ya🤣

I just decided to join in the fun yesterday! It's a hodge podge of everything wrapped up in a cute little box😁

Not a lot of planning and I'm basically just winging it!

My "GOLDEN" rule is--it doesn't matter if you can't read the whole time--whatever you can read is better than nothing--enjoy it and have fun--the most important thing of all!

OH yeah! The candy jar is a must! After a while, you get used to it always being there that you don't even pay it any attention. My 2 sons(ages 34 and 31) get disappointed more than my grandkids if the candy jar isn't "FULL" enough 🤣 SMH!!
Have fun and I'll be watching for your updates!

I hope you have a great reading weekend!!!

Cozy mysteries are always good options for Readathon ) Enjoy your reading time today!

Erin *Proud Book Hoarder* (erinpaperbackstash) | 1435 comments With my chocolate order I ordered Dove's milk chocolate and peanut butter, and had one yesterday, finding it hard and different. When checking something last night I now see Walmart substituted my order with regular Dove's Dark Chocolate because they were out of the other kind 😡😒 While I can tolerate just regular dark chocolate, it's not my favorite, and it was 4.00 more for that one! I should have remembered to turn the substitutes off, how annoying.

Erin *Proud Book Hoarder* (erinpaperbackstash) | 1435 comments Happy Start of the Read-a-thon!

Thank you Cynda!!

I love a lot of the cozy mysteries! They are usually quick, easy fluff reads. Ones that I don't have to use a lot of brain power on--not that I have a lot of brains or brain power to begin with 🤣

I hope you enjoy your reading time today as well! Will be going around and checking threads later today to see how's everyone's doing!!

UGGGHHHH!!!!!

I don't order online a lot because I don't think we can get deliveries out here--although we are only 15 mins or less outside of town. I do sometimes order for pick up, but when I do I have forgotten to turn substitutions too!

That's aggravating! I like dark chocolate but totally get it--you want what you ordered/like--and that price difference😳

I hope the rest of your order was OK.

Robin (Saturndoo) (robinsaturndoo) | 137 comments OMG that Garfield Gif is hilarious!

That's about how the J & J do me when they are here🤣 No, they don't--believe it or not, they are really quiet and will let you sleep! They will wake me up and say "can we get breakfast which is usually cereal, pop tarts or some other type of breakfast bars and milk.

Erin *Proud Book Hoarder* (erinpaperbackstash) | 1435 comments Robin (Saturndoo) wrote: "OMG that Garfield Gif is hilarious!

Yes no kidding, price difference was extreme. I can tolerate dark chocolate but it's not my favorite and I definitely wouldn't spend 9.00 for it. Ah well now I have a giant bag to eat...

I KNOW about it....but haven't really planned out anything!

REAL life has been a little crazy for me the last couple of months and yesterday my AC went out in my apt so I had to quickly load up my necessities and currently staying at my mom's! The repairman can't come until mid morning Monday!😨

So I may just post here what I get read--I won't be posting anything EXTRAVAGANT like I normally like to do!🤣
