You should check out Throne of Glass too!

The author is problematic, glorifying/romanticizing harassment. The FMC was dumb af, and I couldn't relate to her at all.
I am not keen on fantasy books, so I am not sure I should be one to have a say in world-building, faeries, etc, but they weren't something I liked.
Moreover, the book was very oddly written (the dumb characters helped with that, too), and if not for a part near the end of the book, the heroine didn't have to fight for anything. Everything was given to her as soon as she asked for it.
Additionally, there wasn't any character I could root for/relate to except for an extra/side character who hardly had any lines.
At last, the worst part for me is her type of writing. It seems blunt and boring to me, so it took me almost 2 weeks to read it when I could read a book 1.5× its size in maybe less than a week.
However, if you have bought it, I think you should give it a chance and maybe like it and call me crazy.
That's my opinion, and no one is forced to agree with me, especially for something that is obviously objective, like taste in books.
I am planning on reading the second book after my exams are over since my bsf, who has read the whole series, told me it gets better with each book.
That was it from me.
XOXO,
Soria <3

I just thought it'd be better if I gave you the whole picture.
(Plus, I kinda also practiced my essay-writing skills since I will try to get my English proficiency degree next month. 😚)
