Not sure I want to be worrying about team challenges on top of that.
But I will pop in when I can to cheerlead and stuff. 😁

Will you post pictures occasionally if you have the bandwidth?
By the way, you will be missed. A lot. Just saying.

(view spoiler)
Is there going to be a Q&A? If not, could someone either post the answer here or PM me?
Thank you so much!

And I ssoooo much wish I could switch places with that lucky b*tch (with any of them, really). 🫠🤭

Sensible but unwanted news! If internet chaos resolves, you'd be v welcome as a reserve.
Hiddleston dancing is a winner though.

I'll be back in full challenge mode just as soon as we're settled and I have access to my books again. 😉
I figured if we are going to travel around the world via books, we might as well be comfortable.
hehe!
Also, love the excitement everyone

You won’t be in a jetlag fog?

What, do you have other challenges going on or something?
:D hahaha

Just realized I'll also be on a little trip two or three days leading up to the challenge! Just like you will also be back just in time though :)

Thanks Judith.
For those of us who do read over 60 BPM cap or it's highly likely that we will read over the 60 BPM cap--I'm not sure I'm quite understanding how that will work.
If those books go into reserve in case a player is ghosting--if that player is replaced--it's possible the reserved books might not be used, correct?
If a player does meet/go over the 60 BPM cap, we will just sit idle until the new month starts and can start logging books again?
Do we still need to check in weekly, even if we aren't able to log in books?

It can hardly be a coincidence that no language on Earth has ever produced the expression "as pretty as an airport."

Next you will say that there are those who do not enjoy Christopher Moore. Or Terry Pratchett.
Say it isn't so!

Clutches non-existent pearls in a dramatic fashion. 🤭

Me neither. I actually think I was looking rather silly, but thankfully noone was around to notice. 😁

If Douglas Adams had ever seen the new terminal here in Bengaluru (where I live), he might have had second thoughts. It is absolutely gorgeous. The only downside is that we now grumble about why the older terminal couldn't have been designed and built by the same people.

This is more my style... less effort of having to remember where the non-existent things are. 🤭

OMG...well I see I've opened up the "irrevocable can of worms" ...perhaps our journey will avoid such topics that clearly offend those who are Adams, etc fans ...hehe ;)

Correct, those books may not be used. But there is nothing saying which of 60 books read you'd have to use. And what I mean by that is the player wouldn't be obligated to use the first 60 books they read.
Maybe some books are longer than others or some work for a harder mini challenge task. There'd be flexibility to use the most advantageous books for the team until you had to lock in the books for the end of the month or end of mini challenge time period, etc.
And if you are getting close to your reading cap, whether it's the 60 or the limit set by your sign up, you can always try and target those larger books on your tbr list.
One of the reason for the caps, as mentioned in the sign up description, is to help with team balancing. And I mean the number of people on the team and not just the total sign up for books per month. For example, we try not to have one team with 4 people and another team with 9 people.
No matter how big or small of a reader you are players are supposed to check in at least once a week so the captains know you are still around and playing. Also we mods are known to throw mini challenges, etc at teams without notice so players should check in to be aware of new things going on, discuss good or bad books being read by team members etc.
Part of the point of challenges is to be interactive with other readers and share reading experiences. It's hard to do that if there's no interaction on the team thread.
Hope this helps!
Thanks Judith.

No offense from my side. 😊
As with partners, so with books/authors: One reader's Love Boat is another's Titanic. (a quote borrowed from Carrie Bradshaw and slightly twisted for the occasion. 🤭)

So, this is not the right time to say that I'm sitting this one out too?

Most emphatically NOT.😿😿
But again, I understand!!!

So yeah. It was the challenge that I never missed. Sadly, not this time.
